To pre-register for the RMC Fun Run, planned for Saturday, May 5, visit www.riversidemedical.org and download a registration form, or call Lyann Holicek at (715) 258-1008 The event will take place at the old Riverside Elementary School at 950 Park Ave. in Waupaca, with the 1-mile walk/run starting at 9:30 a.m., followed by the 5K event at 10 a.m. Participants can also register on Saturday at the school up until the start of the event. The race route will wind through historic residential neighborhoods of Waupaca. Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in each of nine age categories in the 5K event. The 1-mile event recognizes physical fitness in children, age 12 and under, and awards the first five finishers by gender. There is also a “Team Challenge” trophy for the lowest combined time for a team of four. The top three teams win prizes of $75, $50 and $25. The event will also feature a costume contest. The best individual costume earns a $25 prize. The best team costume – for two or more people – wins a $50 prize for first place and a $25 prize for second place.
